ARCS hosted its annual STEAHM Nexus event on Dec. 1, 2023…and what a day it was! Nearly 300 guests and team members celebrated another year of “firsts,” faculty and student achievements, and thought-provoking AI conversations.
The event’s theme — AI: FORGING TODAY’S REALITY, CRAFTING TOMORROW’S POSSIBILITIES – generated intriguing exchanges between Dr. Nhut Ho, ARCS Founding Director, and our special presenters: JPL’s Larry James, Medtronic’s Ali Dianaty, and ARCS alumni Melissa Chow, Seyed Sajjadi and Keiana Samoy.
Guests enjoyed “AI & YOU” – a play performed by CSUN’s Theatre Dept – and rocked out with Spot, our dancing robot dog. The day was capped with visits to displays from JPL and Medtronic, plus 30+ ARCS project displays where guests interacted with our teams to learn about their exciting research.
